About us

Shanghai Oriental Translation Center, or SOTC, is a professional translation agency. We came in 2004 under the auspices of the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Translators’ Association of China, with share capital from the Shanghai International Cultural Communication Association and China Translation and Publishing Corporation. Drawing on strong government and industry relations, as well as language expertise, we aim to promote healthy growth in the translation sector over the long term. Our mission is also to provide cutting-edge language services to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. Strong in resource integration, language performance and quality control, SOTC has recruited a large number of clients. To name a few are government agencies, multinational companies, joint ventures and state-run conglomerates. Key to our prominence are unique business model and outstanding quality.
